Why Should I register as a Mitra?

MitraSeva is a voluntary service organization.

In June 2016, the need for a platform with voluntary support facility to serve the  wide spread diaspora of Indian community in the vicinity of Harrow, Brent and Wembley was acutely felt by the founders of MitraSeva, and they duly responded with the inception of MitraSeva.

In Samskrtam, the term MITRA means friend the term SEVA, the Service.  So MitraSeva was born with the vision of Service to Community, through friendly service, making every one in the community as Mitra to each other.   In practice it means, progressively making the able and noble members of the community who are keen to serve others, in whatever capacity and role,  to find MitraSeva as a fitting way forward to render services, as well as to benefit from its services.

With the regular (weekly, monthly) and annual events that are useful as well engaging and entertaining to the community, MitraSeva has now grown to a UK Registered Charity, extending its services across London and the surrounding areas.      Ironically, the unfortunate COVID-19 pandemic provided the best opportunity to refine our focus and to make useful contribution to the community.  With more than 80 events during the COVD-19 pandemic itself,  MitraSeva is constantly evaluating and refining its means to maximize benefit to the Community.

Volunteers are the pillars of MitraSeva.  We encourage Volunteers to come and help us with their knowledge, skills and resources.  Donors and Sponsors of specific events help us to sustain our mission.  We gratefully acknowledge their patronage.
